How do I use my Amiga joysticks on a pc/mac ?

I have a Konix Speedking and a competition pro, both with 9 pin Amiga connectors. Obviously these won’t fit into my mac so how do I connect them up?

Here’s a nice looking option that requires no drivers (stepstick.pl). It’s a simple adapter that gives you a USB connection on your Amiga/Commodore/Sega/Atari joystick/joypad.

Alternatively, there is a 4-way connector that connects to the parallel port of your Amiga to let you play simultaneous four-player games such as:

  • Base Jumpers
  • Bug Bomber
  • Carnage
  • Dynablaster*,
  • Extreme Racing
  • Fireflies*
  • Gauntlet II
  • Hired Guns
  • Kargon
  • Kick Off II
  • Knockout 2
  • Megatron
  • Over the Net
  • Subtrade
  • Super Skidmarks 2
  • Traders
  • TV Sports Basketball

It will work on your PC if you have a parallel port and use the PPJoy driver software.
