other new user problems are WB 3.1 icons, i dont know why, but some icons like NTP commander icon or Netsurf icons, are much bigger that others, i dont know why, its annoying when is app icon.
Where is same behavior nice, are WHDload games, there is bigger game cover art picture really nice..
But if i have to choice, between all icons same size (without exceptions) and present behavior, i would choose first 1 Windows / Linux.

Amiga OS prior to version 4.1 does not include functionality for scaling icons dynamically – the size they’re stored at is the size they’re displayed at. There are a couple of reasons for this:
Firstly, scaling graphics is relatively CPU- or GPU-heavy. We don’t notice it on modern machines with multi-GHz CPUs and GPUs to match, but when OS 3 was released, 7MHz and graphics chips with no hardware scaling capability were still pretty standard in the Amiga realm. On such systems, each icon would take maybe a second to load if it needed to be scaled, which might not seem much, but with some drawers containing dozens of files, it could take minutes to open. So the functionality was never considered. Modern Amiga-like systems such as OS 4.1 and MorphOS include icon scaling functionality.
Second, the original Amiga icon system was intended for use on planar, low colour, low resolution screens which means scaling would generally lead to poor results due to the limited palette, and so were best drawn by a pixel artist. Modern systems have high colour and resolution to make things like anti-aliasing easy and give good results when small images are scaled, but if you try scaling an icon image manually using e.g. PersonalPaint, the results will be ugly.
A replacement icon library (version 46.4 on Aminet) is available that provides some scaling capability when used with modern bitmapped icons (i.e. OS4 or MorphOS icons), but cannot be used on the old planar icons from OS 1-3.
