Hello,
i discovered that original hdf file from AmigaSYS is too small for me, i dont want to create second one, is possible to resize it?

I suppose that i need to increase hdd size – add some zeroes and after that resize partition without data lose.

Amiga filesystems do not include functionality for modifying partition sizes on the fly. There are some hack processes that use hex editors and so on to manually adjust FFS partition parameters, but it’s very tricky and carries a high risk of losing your data so I won’t recommend it. It also wouldn’t work for any other filesystem.

The simplest and safest solution is to create another hardfile and simply copy the entire contents across. Nothing special needs to be done to the Amiga partitions – simply copying all the files across to the new HDF is enough to make an exact copy. Once the new HDF is created with a different name, use the following command to copy everything across:

Copy AmigaSYS:#? AmigaSYS_new: ALL CLONE

Once the copying is finished, simply rename the new partition to the same name as the old one, remove the old partition from the WinUAE settings and reboot.

I dont have to be on the fly, if is possible to do it with some Windows / Mac / Linux tool, just edit *.hdf life like, so example iso file or something like that..

But, ok thanks, simply copy all is the way, if there is not something file boot sectors, MBR etc like in PC case..

But i would probably need 1 more thing, when i create new hdf file in WinUAE, would be probably empty, how to create partition, which FS use for WB 3.1, how to format it?

I done it, procedure is same as add and format 1 HDD into virtual machines, so you could use any WinUAE install vanilla WB tutorials, only add new device like DHX – X is some unique number, first old disk is 0, you need other number for now. -After that is you need format Disk as for vanilla WB installation – copy all files from DH0 to DHX, through Dopus 4 it was ok. – turn of system, remove old disk file from UEA config – rename new old device new to DH0 – save conf reboot Check if doing all this for bigger HDD, you should see more free space, in WB or Dopus info. Without any hacks is same to use 2000 MB disk, which should be enough unless you are apps collector, for Games, Music, Video, Porn and other staff you could use mounted folder or seperate non system HDF files(if it fails you could still boot) .
